Deadliest Catch PC Game (Alaskan Storm Review)

by Rick

A buddy of mine has this game and let me play it one evening, and I’m going to share with you why I really liked it.

First off, I’m a big fan of the show Deadliest Catch, so when I sat down behind the computer to play the video game, I was already pretty pumped about the big seas and buoy tossing. The game title is “Alaskan Storm” and it’s a PC Game only, I think.

Alaskan Storm PC Game

I was expecting this game to be a simulation, but I pleasantly found it to be much more arcade.. which is a good thing. Sometimes game simulations become boring and get dry after 20 minutes. This video game is fairly eclectic in that it offers so many different missions and things to do.

For instance, you can do the whole fishing simulation thing out on the boats catching red crab. Or you can switch over racing boats around the Bering Sea. There are Coast Guard rescue missions you can play.

You’ll really like this game because of the wide variety of things you can do. You’re not locked into any repetitive simulations and the graphics are very good. They have a lot of the same sound effects from the show and I guess my only gripe would be it doesn’t play up to the real-life personalities on the show.

Overall, it’s a great game for PC and I’d recommend it. You can get it at Amazon like my buddy did. They always have the lowest prices it seems.
